Years ago before I became a Bernadinist, one Easter bank holiday,
I took a walk that proved seminal to my work. I got off at Vauxhall
tube station and decided to explore the south bank of the River
Thames heading west. I walked down Nine Elms Lane all the way
to Battersea Powerstation strolling mostly on the river path that
ran parallel to it. June of that year I came back and shot my
first Bernadinist portfolio. I came armed with ideas but came
up with more suggested by my surroundings. I would stare through
my camera and try to come up with a scenario that could be enacted
in front of an interesting background. Most of it was shot in
the deserted buildings around the Powerstation I have since walked
down that road many times over the years and have taken many pictures
at whiles.
Let's take a walk. |
